16 days and 15 nights on the road to admire the Midnight Sun.

An ever-present myth and an itinerary that has always fascinated every motorcyclist. A journey that is certainly demanding but the stages and the itinerary will always be full and exciting; from Sweden to Finland, characterized by countless crystal clear lakes up to Lapland, and precisely in Rovaniemi. Here there will be the baptism with the Great North, the crossing of the Arctic Circle and the visit to the home of Santa Claus. Now our goal is a few steps, or rather, a few turns of the wheel…We are there…. At the North Cape Rock… a dream for all motorcyclists! And the journey continues descending along the Fjords of Norway and the Lofoten Islands, Mount Dalsnibba, the Geranger Fjord until returning to Stockholm.

FROM 7th TO 22nd AUGUST 2020

MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 10

MOTORCYCLE TRANSPORT FROM ITALY

Friday 6th August, ITALY - OSLO (-/-/D)

2° day

Saturday 7th August, OSLO - OSTERSUND (B/-/-) KM 580

Breakfast at the hotel. Today our journey north begins with a first stop along the internal roads of Sweden to the city of Ostersund, one of the most important ones in the north of the country, considered to be the Nordic skiing capital. Arrival in the evening. Hotel accommodation and overnight stay.

3° day

Sunday 8th August, OSTERSUND – ARVIDSJAUR (B/-/-) KM 450

Breakfast at the hotel. Heading north east we will approach the Finnish taiga with another intermediate stop in Sweden, in the small village of Arvidsjaur. Arrival in the afternoon and hotel accommodation. Overnight stay.

4° day

Monday 9th August, ARVIDSJAUR – ABISKO NATIONAL PARK (B/-/-) KM 460

Breakfast at the hotel. We will stay in Sweden, in its far north, to arrive in the Abisko National Park along the huge Torneträsk lake about 60 km long. The environment changes abruptly and takes us to the immense spaces of the southern Finnmark taiga. Hotel accommodation and overnight stay.

5° day

Tuesday 10th August, ABISKO NATIONAL PARK – KAUTOKEINO (B/-/-) KM

Breakfast at the hotel. Today will be a full immersion in the Finnmark environment. We will cross woods, stretches of water and grasslands that have always been the territory of the Sami people. Political borders are really only conventional, we will pass seamlessly from Sweden to Finland and then re-enter Norway. We will then visit Kautokeino which is considered the capital of Sami culture. Hotel accommodation and overnight stay.

6° day

Wednesday 11th August, KAUTOKEINO – KIRKENES (B/-/-) KM 394

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will head towards the extreme north-east. For a long stretch, we will cross the northernmost part of Finnish Lapland. The landscapes will fade into increasingly low and sparse woods, dotted with an infinity of lakes and small streams, until they open onto the Barents Sea. The border with Russia is very close and gives these places an even more extreme touch, in case you need it. We will stop in Kirkenes, the main center of the area along with Vadsø. Hotel accommodation and overnight stay.

7° day

Thursday 12th August, KIRKENES – KJOLLEFJORD (B/-/-) KM 350 O KM 670

Breakfast at the hotel. This area is the only one in Norway that climatologists consider arctic climate. The Gulf Stream is unable to heat it and the average temperatures throughout the year are rather rigid. Based on the weather conditions, we will be able to decide whether to attempt the excursion to Vadsø - Hamningberg, which brings the total of the stage to 670 km, or head directly towards Cape Nordkinn (tot. Stage 350 km). After a coastal stretch, the Nordkinn peninsula road climbs to a plateau offering lunar landscapes dotted with a myriad of tiny lakes. A small isthmus will allow us to move to the northernmost part of the peninsula to reach Slettnes Fyr, the Gamvik lighthouse which represents the northernmost point of continental Europe (Cape Nordkynn). Hotel accommodation and overnight stay.

8° day

Friday 13th August, KJOLLEFJORD - NORDKAPP – HONNINGSVÅG (B/-/-) KM 450

Breakfast at the hotel. Return to the E6 for a short stretch until we reach the junction for Cape North. The E69 offers mesmerizing views of the Porsangerfjord and greetings from many worldwide motorcyclists, returning south after having fulfilled their lifelong dream. A spectacular underwater tunnel will allow us to pass over Magerøya, the island on which the North Cape is located. Hotel accommodation and overnight stay.

9° day

Saturday 14th August, HONNINGSVÅG – TROMSØ (B/-/-) KM 490

Breakfast at the hotel. We will cross the Porsangerfjord again this time towards South and we will return to the E6, which at these latitudes can still be considered in its "mythical" stretch. In fact, not only does it represent a point of arrival allowing many motorcyclists to reach Nordkapp, but it also offers beautiful landscapes. The very scarce presence of cities or other settlements gives these places a decidedly "arctic" purity. We reach Tromsø in the most spectacular way, that is by slipping among the island-mountains that can be glimpsed from the E6 thanks to two ferries, mostly used by local motorists, which in fact are a real mini-cruise. Hotel accommodation and overnight stay.

10° day

Sunday 15th August, TROMSO — SVOLVAER (LOFOTEN ISLANDS) (B/-/-) KM. 498

Breakfast at the hotel. We will continue riding south towards the Lofoten islands, a naturalistic oasis worldwide renowned for its biodiversity. Overnight stay at the hotel, near the traditional fishermen' stilt houses and if we want, we will be able to have dinner in the restaurant of the marina. Overnight stay.

11° day

Monday 16th August, SVOLVAER (LOFOTEN ISLANDS)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will allow ourselves a day of absolute rest ad relax, with a boat trip through the fjords or having fun while shopping in the center of Svolvaer, the largest village in the archipelago. We will be able to admire the astonishing white sand beaches.. a sight not to be missed. If you are felling tough, you will have the chance to go as far as "A", the extreme village of the island. Overnight stay.

12° day

Tuesday 17th August, SVOLVAER — MO I RANA (B/-/-) KM. 406

Breakfast at the hotel. Still riding along the rugged Norwegian cliffs, we will cross the Arctic Circle, where the landscape becomes more and more spectacular and interesting, it will so great that it will make us forget the fatigue accumulated while driving. Overnight stay.

13° day

Wednesday 18th August, MO I RANA — TRONDHEIM (B/-/-) KM. 489

Breakfast at the hotel. We will continue to descend the Norwegian coast, until we reach Trondheim, a historic city in Norway with its characteristic gothic cathedral. We will then visit the center and the typical and multicolored pile-dwelling buildings. Overnight stay.

14° day

Thursday 19th Augus,: TRONDHEIM- GEIRANGER (B/-/-) KM. 377

Today, we will discover one of the most beautiful and fascinating parts of Norway. We will head towards the Atlantic Road, characterized by 12 bridges resting on tiny islets, and from there, we will discover natural landscapes that will leave us breathless, endless valleys of intense green, mountain passes in the clouds, majestic fjords. Among all, the amazing Geranger Fjord stands out, where we will spend the night with the view of the fjord directly from the hotel terrace. Dinner in Geiranger at the hotel. Overnight stay.

15° day

Friday 20th August, GEIRANGER - OSLO (B/-/D) KM. 540
