Marche Region, an undiscovered paradise for bikers

Arrival in the heart of the Frasassi Caves Park by 6 pm at the 4* Le Grotte hotel - Loc. Pontebovesecco - Genga. Accommodation in the rooms booked. Free time at disposal. Dinner with local specialities and products. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure at 10 a.m. for our first On/Off day in the heart of the Marche region. After the Gola di Frasassi we immediately climb a slight dirt road that will take us into the Gola della Rossa from where, in a succession of asphalt and dirt roads, we will reach the plain of Poggio San Romualdo. A short coffee stop and then on to the pastoral village of Elcito, which stands on a rock and from which there is a view as far as the sea. Stop for lunch (not included in the fee) at Pian dell'Elmo. We will continue to the centuries-old beech forest of Canfaito and then descend into the Sentino river valley to return to the hotel after visiting the Infrasaxa Sanctuary also known as the Valadier Temple. Arrival at the hotel by 17:00. Free time at leisure to relax by the pool or enjoy the hotel's wellness services.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure at 10.00 a.m. in a northerly direction with first stop at the Benedictine hermitage of Fonte Avellana, from where begins the dirt road climb to the summit of Monte Catria at a height of 1,700 metres, marking the border between Umbria and Marche. We descend between asphalt and dirt road to Cantiano and then continue on to Serravalle di Carda for lunch (not included in the fee). After lunch we climb to the summit of Monte Nerone, from where there is a splendid view of the entire Apennine ridge of the Sibylline Mountains. The descent to Cagli is a fantastic dirt road along the coast of Monte Nerone. Return to the hotel by 5 pm. Free time at disposal to relax by the pool or enjoy the hotel's wellness services.

Breakfast at the hotel. Possibility of dedicating the morning to an optional visit to the Frasassi Caves. Bidding farewell to participants and return to their homes.
