You will start from the mythical Chiang Mai, an ancient capital rich of culture and ancient temples. Our road trip will take you to the Burmese borders, through green rice fields and towering mountains.
The journey requires an excellent spirit of adaptation both for the simplicity of the accommodations also shared, and for the road conditions.

Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Day dedicated to discover Chiang Mai, the northern city of Thailand. The ancient capital of the Lanna kingdom has a breathtaking architectural heritage with around 300 temples! Visit Wat Chiang Man, stroll through the city markets such as the Talad Waroros and the famous night bazaar, where you can try the first Thai specialties. Overnight stayin Chiang Mai.
Breakfast at the hotel. The adventure begins by heading south west along the main road of Chiang Mai to the entrance of Doi Inthanon National Park where the highest mountain in the country is located (2565 m). Continue north along a quiet and winding road. The path continues uphill to Khun Yuam, and then continues for about 100 km until you reach Mae Hong Son. Also known as "the city of the three mists" Mae Hong Son is located near a small lake surrounded by mountains. This crossroads of peoples and cultures is located only 40 km from the border with Burma. Overnight stay in Mae Hong Son.

Breakfast at the hotel. One of the most spectacular sections of the legendary Mae Hong Son circuit and its 762 curves is scheduled for today. Descent towards the splendid landscape surrounding Pai, characterized by wonderful rice fields. The journey continues north towards Chiang Dao. The road is very well preserved and winds through changing landscapes that leave room for unique karst formations. Also known as "the little tuscany" Chiang Dao is a small and peaceful location dominated by Mount Chiang Dao (2175m), known for its incredible caves, located a few kilometers from the center. Overnight stay in Chiang Dao.
Distances: 210 km (6/7 hours)
The adventure continues still in a northerly direction ever closer to the border with Burma following splendid mountain roads. The passage from Doi Ang Khang (1928m) is expected. This valley is also known as "Little Switzerland" for its temperate climate and wild nature. Here you can observe the influence of Chinese culture. The path continues towards Doi Mae Salong, known for the Chinese village of Santi Khiri. In the botanical garden of Mae Fah Luang, coffee and tea plantations have replaced poppy fields. Finally you will reach Mae Sai, following small secondary roads along the Burmese border. Overnight stay in Mae Sai.
Distances: 300 km (9 hours)
Breakfast at the hotel. Still remaining north of the Chiang Rai province, the route now heads for the Mekong. Just 30 km away is the heart of the "Golden Triangle", the meeting point of the borders of three countries: Thailand, Burma and Laos. You will cross Chiang Saen before skirting the Mekong until we reach Chiang Khong. Afterwards the route continues south along a wonderful stretch of road that runs parallel to the border with Laos. Arrival in the north-east of the Phayao province. Overnight stay in Chiang Kham.
Distances: 300 km (7 hours)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure south east for the last day in the saddle. Destination Lampang! Short break in this city highly appreciated by the Thai people. Here the roads are passed almost exclusively by carriages with horses and motorcycles are an exception. The route continues along 100 km until it reaches Chiang Mai. Last night in Chiang Mai for the latest purchases or to enjoy a Thai massage. In front of the Chiang Mai Women's Prison is a well-known rehabilitation center where inmates are trained in ancient traditional massage techniques. Overnight stay in Chiang Mai.
