An adventure towards an entire continent

1° day

1st - 9th day: 20th - 28th August, From Anchorage to Seattle - 3700 km

On 20th August you will take a flight from Italy to start the wonderful Transamerica adventure with the first stop in Anchorage where you will spend two nights and you will have enough time to rent our motorcycles arrived from Italy.
You push into the pristine nature of Alaska along the 300 miles that will take you to the borders of the Yukon in Tok before entering northern Canada. You will travel in full the legendary
US 1 or Pan-American Highway crossing Destruction Bay on the shores of Lake Kluane, Whitehorse and then arriving at Watson Lake. From the territories of Yukon you will enter the boundless British Columbia until you reach Meziadin Junction and you will continue to Price George and finally Kamloops, the last city of Canada before entering the United States of America, in Seattle, the city of Emerald where you will stop for a day to do maintenance of our motorcycles after having covered almost 4000 km.

2° day

10th - 20th day: 29th August - 8th September, Seattle - San Diego - 3600 km

After visiting the Emerald City (Seattle) with its Historic Downtown with Pioneer Square, the Farmer’s Market, the Space Needle and the Experience Music Project, you will continue our journey south. First west of Seattle via spectacular Olympic National Park to Fork. You will continue along the wonderful Oregon coast along the Pacific Coast Highway crossing Astoria and the Gold Beach, famous for being the location of the film "The Goonies", to then reach California where you will stop immediately for two days to enjoy the charm of San Francisco. From San Francisco you head east to cross first the Yosemite National Park to reach Mammoth Lake, and then the mythical Death Valley through Furnace Creek and Zabrinski Poin will take you to The Fabolous Las Vegas. Arizona is waiting for you with the wonderful Grand Canyon where you will enjoy its sunset and the starry sky and then you will descend between deserts and Saguaros up to Phoenix ... and again California with the splendid San Diego bay for the last night in the USA ....

3° day

Day 21st - 32nd : 9th - 20th September, Baja California and Southern Mexico - 4320 km

You leave San Diego early in the morning, and after a few km you are on the border with Mexico in Tijuana. After the entrance procedures you continue straight to Ensenada from where you will begin our descent along the whole Baja California. Surrounded by the blue of the ocean you will travel on Mexico Highway 1. Leaving the chaotic border cities behind you and passing through Bahia de Los Angeles, San Ignacio and Loreto, you will arrive at La Paz from where on 14th September you will spend the night on the ferry that will take you there. After landing you will leave to mainland Mexico, to Mazatlan. Once landed you will leave for the interior of Mexico until you reach Guadalajara, a historic city with ancient Spanish origins. You will continue passing over Mexico City to Puebla, a lively and colorful town that opens the way to the wonders of the Yucatan. From Puebla you approach the heart of the Chapas arriving first in Oaxana, near which there is the important archaeological site of Monte Albán, and then reach S. Cristobal de Las Casas which is dated back to 1528 and it was one of the first cities founded by the Spaniards. Continue to Palenque with a stop for the excursion to the Agua Azul waterfalls. You will stop for two days in Palenque to enjoy the wonders of the Archaeological Site of Palanque, among the most famous and best preserved in the world. The Guatemala border awaits you ...

4° day

33rd - 43rd day: 21st September - 1st October Central America - 2900 km

Near El Caibo you will cross the border with Guatemala, inside the Sierra del Locandon Nature Reserve to immediately arrive in Flores on the shores of Lake Itza.
Overlooking the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, the road through the Guatemalan forests leads you to Puerto Barrios, an outpost before the border with Honduras which you will cross climbing between the mountain ranges and the sierras to Comayague, a small village in the heart of the country. You continue in the direction of Teguchicalpa to turn north-east and cross the La Tigra National Park. You will arrive at the small town of El Paraiso before the border with Nicaragua. After the border you will go south to Nicaragua until you reach the shores of Lake Cocibolca and you will continue to those of the ocean in San Juan del Sur. You will enjoy a day at leisure in Tamarindo, one of the most beautiful destinations on the peninsula with its long and unspoiled beaches surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes.
The adventure continues towards Panama through Playa Espadilla near the Manuel Antonio park. Only 200 km separate you from Panama, the last state of Central America that you will cross before arriving to the wonderful South American continent. You will arrive through jungle roads in Las Lomas (David) and finally in Panama City, capital of the homonymous state for our last stop before boarding the sailing ship that will take you to Colombia, from Port Carti on the banks of Panama.

5° day

44th - 55th day: 2nd-13th October Colombia and Ecuador - 3000 km

On 2nd October at 08:30 am you will set sail from Carti to begin the first navigation towards the San Blas archipelago where we will stop at Coco Banderos Island for lunch and dinner enjoying the crystal clear sea of this island. After the lobster dinner on board you will continue sailing. After two days of sailing between 08:00 pm and 11:00 pm you will arrive at the Port of Cartagena and you will have overnight stay on board docked at the pier. On 4th October at 06:00 am you will land the motorcycles and you will go to the customs together for bureaucratic operations. Within 12:00 pm you will be able to enter Colombia and head to the center of Cartagena.
The South American continent is waiting for you… and you go into the heart of Colombia through a vast area of rivers and lakes until you reach Santa Cruz de Mompox. Almost on the border with Venezuela you head towards Bucaramanga, an important tobacco production center in Colombia and its famous Cathedral of the Sagrada Famiglia. The road continues following the course of the Magdalena River reaching Honda, an important city in the past as the only communication route between the Caribbean coast and Bogota. You continue to Cali in our southward gait and then you will pass Pasto at the foot of the Galeras Volcano at about 2600 meters. After Ipiales, you will visit the Sanctuary of Las Lajas and after 30 km you will enter Ecuador until you reach the capital Quito at the foot of the Andes. Before arriving in Peru you pass through Cuenca passsing through the Ecuadorian Andes, whose historic center is included among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will stop in Macarà, a small border town with Peru.
You will contnue towards Bolivia stopping in Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca where the Uru live in their floating islands that you will be able to visit if we get there in time.
After Puno you will visit the chaotic and fascinating La Paz by stopping two nights to ride along the "ruta de los Yungas", more sadly known by the name of "la Carretera de la Muerte". And now straight to one of the most wonderful places in the world; the Salar de Uyuni. Here you will spend two nights of rest to enjoy the wonders that the Salt Lake offers us.
Finally, you leave Bolivia to arrive, after crossing the border with Argentina, in the border town of La Quiacia,

6° day

70th - 92nd day: 28th October - 19th November Patagonia - Km 7900

Our great journey is about to end. The boundless Patagonia is waiting for us. You will pass from the desert to the green of northern Argentina, you will travel along the legendary Ruta 40 in its most beautiful and fascinating part in the midst of hills, mountains, colors and vegetation that will change km after km and you will be amazed by the unique beauty of these places. Up to Cafayate and then S. Fernando Del Valle Catamarca and San Jose Jachal through scenarios from the Far West to reach the beautiful Mendoza (considered one of the most beautiful cities in Argentina).
And from here on, straight in the heart of Patagonia towards Ushuaia, S.Carlos De Bariloche and Futalefu entering Chile. After Futaleufu, resumption of the journey through what can be considered one of the most beautiful roads in South America, the mythical "Carretera Austral ”, the great communication route built by Pinochet for military purposes and to unite the north to the south of the country… ..
You drive along the shores of Lake General Carrera to return to Argentina and stop immediately after the border in Los Antiguos. Through asphalt and dirt roads you will arrive at Gobernador Gregores and then along the banks of the Rio de la Vueltas river up to the small town of El Chalten. You are in the heart of the Los Glaciares National Park at the base of the Cerro Torre and Cerro Chaltén mountains. You will spend here two nights to enjoy the landscape wonders that Los Glaciares offers you. From El Chalten to the unmissable Perito Moreno, near the city of Calafate, where you will spend two nights at the foot of Fitz Roy on Lake Viedma. You will reach Torres del Paine National Park, one of the most fascinating places of the planet, a destination for tourists and hikers from all over the world which will kidnap you with its unique beauty.
You will finally cross the Strait of Magellan and after crossing the Tierra del Fuego, you will return to Chile to reach Cerro Sombrero, the last stop before reaching Ushuaia, the Fin del Mundo. Overnight stay.
You leave Cerro Sombrero and head towards Ushuaia on the asphalt road. You start along the Fagnano lake and up into the spectacular Darwin chain, beyond the Garibaldi pass to finally reach Ushuaia. You will have the opportunity to rest one day after 3 long months of travel and you will could visit the Lapataia National Park, the prison which has become a museum, or see the colonies of penguins.
After leaving Ushuaia, through Rio Grande you will arrive in Punta Arenas after two days. Return of the motorcycles for loading and shipping back to Italy.
On November 18th you will take your return flight to Italy.
