Following the course of the Zambezi up to the Victoria Falls

A new and exclusive new tour proposed by GO BIKER that will make you live an absolutely unique and unforgettable adventure on motorcycle in two countries still not well traveled by tourism; Zambia and Botswana through an itinerary that alternates the pleasure of riding a motorcycle to the emotions of wild animal safaris in unspoiled nature.

This unprecedented motorcycle tour takes place between Zambia and Botswana following the lower valley of the Zambezi basin and visiting the Lower Zambezi National Park (where we will take photo safaris on board of our specially modified 4×4 vehicles), the Lake and the Kariba Dam and the Victoria Falls , and also including a visit to Chobe National Park (in Botswana).

1° day

1st day: Saturday 5th October, Italy - Lusaka

Departure from Rome Fiumicino with a scheduled flight operated by Etiopian Airlines. Meals, movies and overnight stay on board.

2° day

2nd day: Sunday 6th October, arrival in Lusaka

Arrival at Lusaka international airport. After the customs clearance meeting with the guide and transfer to a good level Lodge on the city center. Taking delivery of the motorcycle and accommodation in the reserved rooms and time available. Free dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

3° day

Day 3: Monday 7,th October Lower Zambezi Valley (B / L / D)

Breakfast at the Lodge and immediately in the saddle for a stage of an entirely asphalt road almost through the Munali mountains, and from there you will go down to the valley of the Zambezi River (total about 170km). Upon arrival in Chirundu the road will become dirt for the last tens of km within the Chiawa Game Management Area, through the village of Chiawa and up to Kiambi Safari Lodge. Lunch at the lodge and camp accommodation. In the afternoon boat safari on the river enjoying the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay in a tent.

4° day

4th day: Tuesday 8th October, Lower Zambezi Valley (B / L / D)

Breakfast at the lodge. Departure for 50 km of non-demanding off-road on motorcycle up to the heart of the Chiawa Game Management Area with a visit to the villages that will meet along the way. Alternatively activities can be booked directly at the lodge (Safari by car, Tigerfish fishing in the Zambezi, Canoe safari, etc.). Lunch and dinner at the Lodge. Overnight stay in tent.

5° day

5th day: Wednesday 9th October, Lower Zambezi Valley (B / L / D)

Wake up at dawn and leave for a full day safari inside Lower Zambezi National Park with a picnic inside the park. Return to the lodge at sunset and dinner around the fire. Overnight stay in a tent.

6° day

Day 6: Thursday 10th October, Sivaonga - Kariba Lake - Kariba Dam (B / - / -)

Wake up at dawn, disassembly of the field and after breakfast travel on motorcycle of the return stretch of about 60km off-road through the villages of Chiawa GMA to Chirundu. From here detour to Sivaonga along a curvy road in the mountains that descends to Lake Kariba. Accommodation at the lodge and lunch. In the afternoon guided tour of the Kariba dam and return to the lodge for dinner. Night in a lodge

7° day

Day 7: Friday 11th October, Kariba - Livingstone (B / - / -)

Breakfast at the lodge and departure for a long transfer that combines a stretch of asphalt curves between the inlets of the lake and the surrounding mountains with a completely unpaved and extremely scenic and picturesque mountain pass. At the end of the dirt road stop for lunch in Choma and continuation in the early afternoon for Livingstone. Accommodation in a guesthouse in the heart of the city. Free dinner. Overnight stay.

8° day

Day 8: Saturday 12th October, Livingstone - Batoka Canyon - Victoria Falls - Mosi-oa-Tunya Safari (B / - / -)

In the morning breakfast and departure for a guided tour of the Victoria Falls. At the end unpaved stretch on motorcycle in the middle of the villages that dot Livingstone until reaching a spectacular observation point on the Batoka Canyon and stop for lunch.
Return in the afternoon and photo safari in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park where you will try to get closer to the last remaining white rhino specimens in Zambia. Free dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

9° day

9th day: Sunday 13th October, Stop in Livingstone (B / - / -)

In the morning breakfast at the lodge. The day is at leisure for any optional activities available in the area. Those who wish can return the motorcycle and engage in other activities such as: rafting, a helicopter ride on Victoria Falls, swimming in the famous Devil's Pool, meeting lions or elephants etc. Otherwise, you can use this day for a final motorcycle ride between the villages along the Zambezi river.

10° day

Day 10: Monday 14th October, Chobe National Park (B / L / D)

Departure at dawn and transfer to Botswana (60km of asphalt road). Crossing the border and day entirely dedicated to safaris in Chobe National Park. It begins with a boat safari along the Chobe River and return to Kasane for lunch (included). In the afternoon, a car safari in the park which will end by reaching the campsite inside the national park. The camp is not fenced and has no running water or electricity (bucket showers and Bush toilets are available). Dinner around the fire and overnight stay in a camping tent.

11° day

Day 11: Tuesday 15th October, Chobe National Park - Livingstone (B / L / D)

Two car safaris in the national park (in the morning after breakfast and in the afternoon after lunch) and transfer back to Livingstone where you will return for the last night to Olga’s Guesthouse. Goodbye dinner offered by Go Biker

12° day

12th day: Wednesday 16th October

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and departure of the return flight to Italy operated by Etiopian Airlines

13° day

13th day: Thursday 17th October

Arrival in Rome Fiumicino expected early in the morning. End of services.

  • Insurance for medical assistance (up to € 10000), medical repatriation and damage to baggage (up to € 1000), with the possibility of integration.

The tariff does not include

  • Airport taxes to be included in the ticket, € 380 per person
  • Entry visa to Zambia: USD 80 for double entry visa which is obtained upon arrival at the airport in Lusaka
  • Meals, extra drinks, gratuities, personal extras, excess baggage
  • Optional cancellation insurance (see scheme at the end)
  • Optional excursions and all that is not highlighted in the item “the fee includes”
